Sharks 3 and 5 were identified as males, shark 9 as a female. At various stages during the trip, multiple sharks would pass at the bait and cage, smaller individuals usually giving away to the larger ones. Well done to Ian and Mark for braving the cage with their dad even though sea sickness took its toll! Many thanks to all, regards.

Note:  We were very lucky to see sharks so quickly around our boat today, despite the fact that we waited between sightings. The first and fourth sharks were identified as females, while the second shark was a male. Individual number one had a distinctive pigmentation patch on the right flank and was a juvenile. In all behaviour of sharks was very relaxed and made some great photo oppurtunities, especially the first decoy breach of the day!  Thanks to all, regards.

Wind direction: NW

Current direction: SE

Wind speed: 1-4kts

Water visibility: 4-5m

Cloud coverage: 10%

Note: Despite the rough weather, shark sightings were successful in general.  The first shark was identified as a female, while the second, third, and fourth sharks were males.  Unfortunately, we were not able to correctly identify the sex of the remaining sharks.  The third shark, with distinct markings on its back and nose displayed very interesting feisty behaviour with multiple passes in front of the cage and quick lunges at the bait. Many thanks to all, regards.
