Note: Extremely fortunate to see so many
sharks this time of year! The third shark
and the eight shark were identified as
males, pretty rare for this time of year as
we are seeing around 90% females. Shark
seven was a large female with the upper lobe
of her caudal fin stumped and distinctive
white markings on the nose. In general a
very sucessful trip even though seasickness
took its toll on many faces!
Six Southern Right Whales were also spotted
on our journey in and out to Joubertsdam.
Many thanks to all, regards.

A
great day out at sea aboard Shark Fever saw the
weather turn from cold and miserable as we launched
into a bright sunny afternoon by the time we
returned. We had our first shark after about half an
hour of starting to chum and it wasn't long until we
had annother. Both these sharks were under 3 meters
suggesting their still relatively young but we were
passed by a 3.5 meter female but she didn't stay
around our boat. There was quite a long wait for our
next shark but it was well worth the time spent as
they were both over 3 meters and circled the boat at
the same time. We hope you enjoyed the sharks.
