Hi there everyone, hope you all enjoyed your cage diving excursion with marine
dynamics. Below is a list of water conditions and stats about the sharks sighted
on your trip, along with the best photos of the day.
Date: 14-04-07
Location: Geldesteen: dyer island
Sea condition: Choppy
Water Temperature: 11.2C
Wind direction: W
Current direction: E
Wind speed: 10kts
Water visibility: 2m
Cloud coverage: 10%
Water depth: 15.2m
Bait Type: Yellowfin and skip jack tuna, sardine oil
Arrival time: 09:35
No of sharks sighted: 6
Respective individual lengths: 2.5m, 2.5m, 3.0-3.5m, 3.0m, 2.5-3.0m, 2.5m.
Note: Individuals 1 and 6 were identified as female sharks and individuals 3 and
4 were males. All divers entering the cage had some great sightings of the
sharks. Individual 2 was a resight from 05-04-07 having a white mark on the
dorsal fin and a scar on the tip of the caudal fin. Hope everyone enjoyed the

Bait Type: Yellowfin and skip jack tuna, sardine oil
Arrival time: 09:30
No of sharks sighted: 8
Respective individual lengths: 2.0m, 2.0m, 2.5-3.0m, 3.0m, 3.0-3.5m, 3.5-4.0m,
2.5-3.0m, 3.0m.
Note: Very successful day. Individuals 3 and 4 were identified as male sharks.
All the divers got some excellent close up views of the sharks, especially
individual 4 who was very inquisitive and had a good look at the divers in the
cage. Very lucky to see so many sharks in such a short space of time. Hope you

Note: Individuals 1, 4 and 7 were identified as female sharks and individuals 2
and 6 were males. Very fortunate to see so many sharks and such large ones. The
sharks were very active around the boat giving everyone some excellent

Note: Individuals 4, 5 and 6 were identified as male sharks and individual 2 was
a female. Very fortunate to see so many sharks in such a short space of time.
Everyone had some great sightings of the sharks and all divers entering the cage

Cloud coverage: 80%
Water depth: 11.6m
Bait Type: Yellowfin and skip jack tuna, sardine oil
Arrival time: 13:55
No of sharks sighted: 6
Respective individual lengths: 2.5m, 2.5-3.0m, 3.0m, 3.0m, 2.0-2.5m, 2.5m.
Note: Individual 4 was identified as a female shark and number 6 was identified
as a male. Very lucky to see the sharks so quickly and in such a short length of
time. All divers managed to have a good look at the sharks from inside the cage.
Individual 5 was very curious in the cage and also interested in the bait giving
everyone some great sightings! Hope everyone enjoyed the afternoon. Many thanks,

Note: Individuals 1 and 2 were identified as male sharks. Unfortunately the
sharks were not interested in the cage so did not stay around long, although
individual 3 did show an interest for the decoy. Hope everyone enjoyed the day!
