Great white Shark cage diving trip - South Africa

Hi there everyone, hope you all enjoyed your cage diving
excursion with marine dynamics. Below is a list of water
conditions and stats about the sharks sighted on your trip,
along with the best photos of the day.
Date: 08-05-07
Location: Dyer island.
Sea condition: Choppy
Water Temperature: 15.0C
Wind direction: NW
Current direction: SE
Wind speed: 13kts
Water visibility: 8-10m
Cloud coverage: 50%
Water depth: 14.7m
Bait Type: Sardine and longfin tuna
Arrival time: 10.15am
No of sharks sighted: 6
Respective individual lengths: <2.0m, 2.0m, 3.0m, 2.4m, 3.2m,
3.0m.
Note: Wind direction changed to North West, resulting in slower
sharks but still very lucky to see 6 individuals and get all
divers through the cage. Shark number 4 was identified as a
female and shark 5 was a large male. Shark 3 had a distinctive
nic on the tail and was a resight from 2 days previous. Good fun
had by all on the boat, even though a few sea sick faces. Best
of luck with the rest of your rugby tour guys, many thanks,
regards.

Sea condition: Calm
Water Temperature: 15.0C
Wind direction: NW
Current direction: SE
Wind speed: 8kts
Water visibility: 8-10m
Cloud coverage: 100%
Water depth: 17.2m

No of sharks sighted: 8

Note: Shark one was identified as a female and sharks 3,4,5 and

interesting scars and markings. The first shark was nick named 'ziggy'
by one of the guests, due to her very relaxed nature and
frequent spy hopping around the boat. Typical winter sharks with
excellent visibility for cage diving. Extremely lucky to get a
breech on the seal decoy at the end, many thanks to all,
regards.

Great white Shark cage diving trip - South Africa

Hi there everyone, hope you all enjoyed your cage diving

along with the best photos of the day.
Date: 05-05-07
Location: Dyer island.
Sea condition: Calm
Water Temperature: 15.0C
Wind direction: S
Current direction: N
Wind speed: 8kts
Water visibility: 8-10m
Cloud coverage: 0%
Water depth: 11.6m
Bait Type: Sardine and longfin tuna
Arrival time: 11.20
No of sharks sighted: 7
Respective individual lengths: 2.0m, 1.5m, 2.0-2.5m, 2.0m-2.5m,
3.0m, 2.0m, 3.0m
Note: Excellent winter sharks today... great visibility. The
first shark was a female, and the second was identified as a
male. Individual 5 had a prominent three slash scar on the
dorsal fin, and was very active around the boat and cage.
Interesting to see the sharks using ambush vertical approaches
on the bait frequently. In all, a very successful day, lots of
fun had by all, especially the last cage diver braving the cage
without a wet suit for some extra shark action! many thanks to
all, regards.
