Hi there everyone, excellent days shark viewing in a very short space of time!
Hope that you enjoyed your Great white shark excursion with Marine dynamics.
Attached to this email is a few photos from your shark trip along with a list of
water conditions and factors influencing your sightings plus sharks stats.
Date: 18/02/07
Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 29 C
Water visability: 1.5m
Sea condition: Flat calm with swell.
Cloud coverage: 10%
Wind speed: 5kts
Wind direction: NE turned SW
Current direction: NW
Water depth: 12.6m
Bait type; yellowfin Tuna
Arrival time: 08:50 am
Number of sharks sighted: 4
Respective individual lengths: 3.0m, 3.0m, 2.0m, 1-1.5m
Note* The first two sharks were resights from the excursion 17/02/07, both
identified as male. Shark 2 had a very distinctive scar on left of dorsal fin.
The last shark to appear was a juvenile and very cautious of the divers in the
cage. Visability allowed us a few good cage sightings however more action was
observed from the top deck, even two sharks going for the bait at the same time!
Very fortunate viewing for this time of year however, many thanks and kind
regards.

Wind direction: SE

Number of sharks sighted: 3
Respective individual lengths: 3.0m, 2.5m, 3.0m.
Note* The first shark and the third shark were identified as male. Shark
number three had some interesting scars on his snout is an 'S' shape
possibly from a seal predation, see photos attached. Shark number one
also had a large prominent scar on the left side of its dorsal fin..most
likely another shark or a boat propeller. Extremely lucky to see three
large great white sharks in such a short space of time in
February...well done to the divers in the cage for providing lots of
laughs and entertainment also! Kind regards.
