White Shark cage diving trip 08/06/2007

Hi there
everyone, hope you all enjoyed your cage diving excursion with marine dynamics.
Below is a list of water conditions and stats about the sharks sighted on your
trip, along with the best photos of the day.
Date: 08-06-07
Location: Dyer Island (behind)
Sea condition: choppy
Water Temperature: 15.3C
Wind direction: NW
Current direction: SE
Wind speed: 6-8kts
Water visibility: 3-4 m
Cloud coverage: 15%
Water depth: 17.2m
Bait Type: Sardine and longfin tuna
Arrival time: 11:50 am
No of sharks sighted: 5
Respective individual lengths: 2.5m, 2.0m, 2.2m, 2.2m, 3.0m
Note: Despite some stormy skies towards the end, in all it was a very successful
trip. The first and second sharks were both female, while the third, fourth, and
fifth sharks were males. The third shark, in particular, gave some very good
viewing with his fast vertical approaches towards both the bait and the decoy.
In addition, the fourth shark gave the divers a good thrill, with his
aggressiveness and fast swimming. Many thanks to all, regards.

Water visibility: 2-3 m
Cloud coverage: 75%
Water depth: 18.3m
Bait Type: Sardine and longfin tuna
Arrival time: 10:15 am
No of sharks sighted: 5

we were unable to identify their sexes. The fourth shark was identified as a
female and gave us some great viewing with her constant vertical approaches. The
fifth shark, which had beautiful colouring, showed us a very good breatch as it
went after the bait. Many thanks to all, regards.

Wind direction: NW
Current direction: SE
Wind speed: 5kts
Water visibility: 4-5m
Cloud coverage: 0%

Arrival time: 09:10 am
No of sharks sighted: 4
Respective individual lengths: 3.4m, 2.2m, 3.0m, 2.3m
Note: Excellent to have shark fever back in the water with such a stunning early

(female) we nick named xena due to her warrior like scar down the left flank!
she's a very relaxed shark I've seen regularly over the past few weeks round the
Geldsteen area of the island also. shark two was a smaller male, 3 and four were
identified as a female and a male respectively. Excellent cage conditions with
clear visibility, all in all successful trip with happy divers. many thanks to
all, regards.
