Note: First shark arrived almost immediately after
anchor then disappeared. After a wait the second and
third shark arrived a male and female, the latter being
the largest shark of the day around meters in
length. Visibility was typical of the Geldsteen in
easterly wind, reasonably poor but enough for all divers
in the cage to glimpse the sharks as they passed by.
Good day had by all, thanks to little Emilio and his
family for providing us with on board entertainment for
the day! good luck with your trip back to Mexico. Many
thanks to all, regards.

Hi
there everyone, hope you all enjoyed your cage
diving excursion with marine dynamics. Below is
a list of water conditions and stats about the
sharks sighted on your trip, along with the best
photos of the day.
Date: 2-08-07
Location: Doldrums
Sea condition: Calm
Water Temperature: 14.3C
Wind direction: N
Current direction: S
Wind speed: 5kts
Water visibility: 2-3m
Cloud coverage: 3%
Water depth: 12.7 m
Bait Type: Skipjack tuna
Arrival time: 9:32 AM
No
of sharks sighted: 2
Respective individual lengths: 2.5m, 2.5m
Note: Very fortunate to have a shark arrive at
the bait after only a short wait. Conditions
today were starting to get much more like
summer, with shark sightings starting to slow
down and visibility and temperature of water
dropping around the island. The first shark to
arrive was a resight from previous weeks 'tigger'
a 2.5m male shark with distinctive copepods
attached to the dorsal and faint tiger stripes
near the caudal fin. The second shark was of a
similar size but did not stay around long enough
to determine its gender. All divers saw sharks
from the cage and the trip was completed nicely
with a mother and calf southern right whale
passing by the boat. Many thanks to all and
congratulations to the honey moon couple!

Great
White Shark cage diving trip 01/08/2007

Hi
there everyone, hope you all enjoyed your cage
diving excursion with marine dynamics. Below is
a list of water conditions and stats about the
sharks sighted on your trip, along with the best
photos of the day.
Date: 1-08-07
Location: Shark Alley [entrance]
Sea condition: Calm
Water Temperature: 14.6C
Wind direction: NW turned W
Current direction: SE turned E
Wind speed: 5kts
Water visibility: 4-5m
Cloud coverage: 3%
Water depth: 11.7 m
Bait Type: Skipjack tuna
Arrival time: 9:00 AM
No
of sharks sighted: 6
Respective individual
lengths: 2.0m, 2.5m, 2.5m, 3.0m, 2.5m, 1.5m
Note: Very successful trip, with excellent
visibility. Unfortunately, there was a delay
between shark sightings; however, we were
fortunate enough to see six sharks in total.
The first through fifth sharks were all
identified as males. We were not able to
correctly identify the sex of the sixth shark, a
pale juvenile. The fifth shark, in particular,
stood out, being a resight from previous trips,
recognizable by distinct markings on the tail
and copepods attached to the dorsal fin. Many
thanks to all, regards.
