about to call it a day! again, patience is a virtue as i always say, thanks to

Hi there everyone, hope you all enjoyed your cage diving excursion with marine
dynamics. Below is a list of water conditions and stats about the sharks sighted
on your trip, along with the best photos of the day.
Date: 11-03-07
Location: Dyer Island
Sea condition: Calm, Swell
Water Temperature: 10 C
Wind direction: W turned SW @ 12
Current direction: E/NE
Wind speed: 5kts
Water visibility: 6.0-7.0m
Cloud coverage: 90%
Water depth: 18.3m
Bait Type: Yellow-fin and skip jack tuna, sardine oil
Arrival time: 09:15am
No of sharks sighted: 2
Respective individual lengths: 3.5m, 3.0m.
Note: Definitely another day of patience paying off! After waiting by the island
we were lucky enough to encounter a beautiful very relaxed male shark that had a
very fresh deep wound on his head. We believe this is a shark bite due to the
characteristic crescent shape and teeth marks just visible on the photos.
Sometimes aggressive behaviour between co specific Great whites does occur and
this is living proof. The shark will recover, we have seen the sharks recover
from some horrific propeller scars in as little as a week or so...(see early Feb
on the web site pictures). Shark 2 disappeared as soon as it encountered the
larger first shark at the decoy. The ocean is a perpetual battleground ..even
for apex predators so it seems! many thanks to all and hope you enjoyed the
excellent visibility from the cage!, regards, Alison.

weather we were lucky enough to encounter a 3.0m individual recognised from
previous years as 'stumpy'. This was a shark satallite tagged in the past with a
characteristic cut off upper lobe of tail fin. Other shark sightings were brief-
visability in the cage was super allowing alll divers to get good views of the
sharks however. Many thanks to all and regards.
